ADC: Financial independence empowers women : The Tribune India

Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nayan Jassal on Friday advocated for women’s financial independence for empowerment. She was addressing young people at a counseling and registration camp organized by the District Employment and Enterprise Office at the Old City Employment Office in the Improvement Trust Building, Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara .

During the camp, she encouraged all candidates to become breadwinners, as financial independence is the first step towards true female empowerment.

Jeevandeep Singh, EGSDTO, PCS (Allied), and Dr. Varun Joshi, Placement Officer briefed Mission Khaki registrants and guided them on how to pass the upcoming government job exams.

“Mission Khaki – Kar har maidan fateh” is a new initiative of the Kapurthala District Administration, the aim of which is to ensure maximum selection of aspirants to the posts of Constable and Chief Constable of Police from Punjab. Dr. Jassal also handed out mission identification and registration cards to the aspirants and encouraged them to be the best versions of themselves.

Additionally, for easier accessibility and better facilitation of Phagwara applicants, the Old City Employment Office will be open every Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Improvement Trust building in Hargobind Nagar. Applicants have been kindly requested to take note of this and avail all services of the District Employment and Exchange Office from there.
