Bushbuckridge mentors an advocate for mental health and women’s empowerment

Growing up in Majembeni in the local municipality of Bushbuckridge, Eulender Nanni learned to give back. She has created platforms to raise awareness about mental health and uplift young women.

“I just want to play a role in making someone happy and showing my support in the best way I know how. That’s why I created Find Your Purpose with Eulender Nanni, to create safe, non-judgmental dialogue for people to express their mental issues and find help,” Nanni said.

She said she had facilitated the dialogue three times and had seen many people, especially young women, open up and gain confidence in talking about their mental issues. “I plan to have the dialogue in different areas to reach more people, and a lot of women in the province are asking for it.”

Nanni has been mentoring young girls since 2013. “Mentoring girls is a passion close to my heart. One of the things I teach girls is not to be afraid to fail. Failure can be a barrier to success, and girls need to learn that failure is an experience to move forward.

Nanni runs the Miss Ehlanzeni pageant. “The competition aligns with my passion and vision for young women to fight against gender-based violence and additionally how to start their own business with just pocket money.”

She founded the annual Charitable Couture Fashion Show to raise money for fashion designers to hold their own shows. “It costs a lot of money to produce a show to showcase their brands, but this organization is here to help local designers achieve their dreams,” she said.

Above all, Nanni is a proud mother and wife and has always found time to enlarge her biography, such as being an MC, social media content creator and even an ambassador for Mrs. Mpumalanga in 2017, and in the top 50 of Mrs. South. Africa in 2020.

She recently announced that she will be taking part in the reality TV contest Divas on Hustle 2022, which will feature women determined to build a positive future for themselves and their communities. “I am thrilled to be part of such a platform. I look forward to learning how women are scrambling to earn a living and gain the experience needed to start more businesses that will benefit communities.”
