“To date, there is still a significant gap in terms of access and capacity, regardless of the economy. Women in underdeveloped areas have even more difficulty in accessing resources. Working in the digital commerce sector, we have observed that the relationship between production and consumption in global commerce as well as the retail chain is being reshaped in the era of social commerce. In the age of social commerce, digital skills open up more opportunities for women in e-commerce and other business fields. More learning resources mean more opportunities, as entrepreneurship is often the only alternative for labor market participation in emerging markets. said Diane Wang during a panel discussion on the importance for women to acquire digital skills and tools in society.

“DHgate launched MyyShop, a one-stop social commerce SaaS platform in 2020, by connecting global SMB supply chains with people with substantial private domain traffic, we aim to lower the barrier for people start and run a cross-border e-commerce business, help MSMEs, especially newbie traders and individuals to succeed with our social commerce tools and services on the MyyShop platform The road to support women in business through the Knowledge sharing and e-learning will be continuous, therefore, I strongly recommend that we mobilize more resources with organizations that already have projects related to entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment in BRICS countries. Wang supplemented.

She shared with all participants that China’s initiative on women in e-commerce and online digital training programs for women-led MSMEs has been recognized and supported by other WBA chapter representatives in the joint working group on the inclusive economy. For example, MyyShop is planning a series of pilot events in the second half of this year, in collaboration with SheTradesZA, a platform dedicated to helping South African women entrepreneurs, and the Mann Deshi Foundation, which is dedicated to Economic Empowerment of Rural Women in India, to facilitate more effective dialogues between different parties within BRICS countries on how to leverage systematic approaches, such as digital e-learning programs for MSMEs run by women women, to protect and empower more women in the global economy.

“The different insights and insights accumulated from these events will be our legacy, leading us to scale up female entrepreneurship work and eventually help more women in need. By spreading our brilliant insights and solutions through the media , we can also amplify the social influence, allowing more people and stakeholders in the respective countries to realize the importance of women’s empowerment.” Diane Wang pointed out.
