As the world continues to cultivate and expose women’s empowerment, the Global Women’s Empowerment Summit (GWES) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates held its biggest and longest summit here in the Philippines in June 2022 to further empower women around the world and connect the Philippines. women who defend lives, their families, their communities and their country.

“The Global Women’s Empowerment Summit 2021 is poised to create history as the world’s longest held summit in three exciting and beautiful destinations here in the Philippines. The event will host approximately 150-200 empowered women from 30 different countries across the planet, all thanks to the strong support and patronage of His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, who provided all the necessary GWES resources during for the past five years,” said Angel Ramos Bognot, President and Creator of Ultra Business Events, and Filipino Manager and Representative of GWES 2021.

After years of waiting due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, GWES 2021 is poised to bring together and empower women around the world to discuss and address women’s issues in a non-political way, honor women champions, showcasing female skills and motivating women of all races and colors to meet all of life’s challenges and become an inspiration to humanity. This momentous gathering will have Her Royal Highness, Sheikha Jawaher bin Khalifa Al Khalifa of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, as Royal Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker, along with other leading and influential global speakers from other countries such as USA, UK, India, Nigeria, Mexico, UAE, Canada and Philippines.

GWES 2021 will take place in three key cities in the Philippines, namely Manila from June 2-4, Cebu from June 7-9, and Davao from June 13-15, 2022.

Manila leg

In Manila, GWES 2021 is scheduled to take place at the Manila Marriott Hotel. Delegates who join this leg will be treated to an enlightening session of networking and socializing topped with immersive handheld events that will share the rich and colorful tradition of the Philippines and its cuisines with all delegates.

Attendees will enjoy a quick tour around Intramuros highlighted by Filipino Santa Cruzan nicknamed “I Am Confidently Beautiful”, as well as a wellness and nature trip to beautiful Tagaytay. The female guests will also have a remarkable evening through GWES’ networking dinner with African delegates and Filipino entrepreneurs called “Meeting of Minds, Converging of Opportunities”, as well as a glamorous gala and awards night edition of Manila dubbed by “Celebrating the power and strength of global women.

For the Manila leg of this summit, delegates from different countries will also have the opportunity to honor female cancer survivors in partnership with Project Pink.

Cebu Leg

Following the success of its Manila leg, delegates will be transferred to Cebu to enjoy the colorful but relaxing atmosphere of the queen city of the south. Dubbed “I am a woman of courage and substance”, guests are set to experience a cultural awakening unique to Lapu-Lapu City, followed by a series of fashion shows in Cebu City, titled “Her Weakness Is Her Strength”. , and a tropical getaway on the serene and beautiful island of Bohol, titled “So Much in Love in Island Paradise”.

The Cebu leg will showcase Visayan ingenuity and creativity led by the region’s top and world-class fashion designers, who have paved the way for the global fashion scene with their stunning style and elegance. and stimulants.

At the Cebu stop, delegates will have a private chance to meet women who have experienced domestic violence to give them inspiration and light as they empower more guns around the world .

Davao leg

To further capture the hearts of delegates, the final stop of the summit will take place in Mindanao’s crown jewel, Davao City. Here, guests will see the country’s aspiring young designers as well as other local talents during the summit’s “Seeing the Beauty of the World from a Woman’s Heart” session. Davaoeños will ignite women’s love for art and fashion through ‘A Global Woman Named Empower’ session, where Filipino fashion ambassador Renee Salud will showcase her standout collection along with other businesses and products local.

The ultimate session of GWES 2021 will take place in the countryside through the “Davao Nature and Ecology Tour”, where delegates will meet tribal communities while communing with nature. Guests will also have the chance to visit the Philippine Eagle Center, where they will learn about the country’s national bird as well as the communities that help keep these critically endangered species safe and free.

Delegates will also meet with indigenous women from Mindanao for an immersion and better understanding of southern Filipino culture.
