Hear from Inspirational Speakers at ACCI’s Great Southern Women’s Leadership Forum

The Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Great Southern Women’s Leadership Forum will be back for International Women’s Day 2022.
The forum which has been going on for more than 15 years will be held during the World Party on March 8 at the Retravision Stadium.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “Breaking Down Prejudice”, with ACCI making the event accessible online for the first time.
“This year’s theme is about empowering women to break down barriers and support each other to bring about positive change beyond the day itself,” said ACCI Executive Director Lisa Smith.
Attendees will hear from two inspirational speakers, Elizabeth Lang and Cara Peek.
Ms. Lang is the founder and CEO of Diversity Focus, a research and training consultancy specializing in cultural diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
She was named one of the most influential people of African descent in the Global 100 Under 40 in 2021.
Ms. Peek is a Yawuru/Bunuba woman and co-founder of the Cultural Intelligence Project, as well as several other initiatives.
Her accomplishments include the prestigious Winston Churchill Fellowship and the National AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.
The event will also include a one-hour discussion by two panels of prominent women from the Deep South on the themes of “breaking prejudice” and “women in leadership”.
General tickets go on sale February 21.
