Rose Bowl Institute Hosts Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon – Pasadena Now

The Rose Bowl Institute announced Thursday that it will host its inaugural Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon on April 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Spieker Field at Rose Bowl Stadium.
The Women’s Empowerment Symposium is an annual program presented by the Rose Bowl Institute for high school, senior, and college students. Participants learn from local and national women entrepreneurs, athletes and education leaders under the inspirational brand of Rose Bowl Stadium.
The symposium, run virtually due to pandemic restrictions over the past two years, featured keynote messages from influencers and iconic names such as former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Basketball Hall of Famer actress and host Ann Meyers Drysdale, Olympian Lauren Gibbs, World Cup champions Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy, and actresses and activists Sophia Bush and Alyssa Milano, to name a few.
Due to its popularity the previous year, the Rose Bowl Institute’s Annual Women’s Empowerment Symposium will not only air its three-day virtual program in the fall, but will add a new in-person networking lunch on the ground this spring.
The free event, billed as the Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon, will showcase women’s leadership, confidence and character, headlined by seven-time NCAA champion Valorie Kondos Field, coach of gymnastics from UCLA, and Katelyn Ohashi, a decorated former UCLA student-athlete.
The networking luncheon will provide high school and college students with the opportunity to connect with female leaders from various industries such as aviation, medicine, entertainment and sports. Notably, leaders will be stationed at pre-assigned tables where attendees can converse with them in a casual setting and learn more about their respective career paths.
The Rose Bowl Institute Women’s Empowerment Symposium Networking Luncheon welcomes both men and women. For more information on the Symposium, including how to register, click here.
The Women’s Empowerment Symposium has grown steadily year after year with the aim of changing the mindsets and approaches of young women and men around the world through positive sporting values. In its first year of hosting the symposium, the Rose Bowl Institute welcomed 99 women in person to the stadium with a networking lunch. Since then, as an annual virtual event, it has reached over 2,000 attendees in 7 countries and 33 states.
