Send Ideas to Strengthen Women’s Safety to Noida Police, Become an ACP for a Day

Noida Police have been soliciting residents’ suggestions for enhancing women’s safety and empowerment, with whoever comes up with the best proposals having a chance of becoming deputy commissioner of police for a day, officials said on Thursday.
While both men and women can send in their suggestions under the initiative, the opportunity to become an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) will only be open to women, they said.
Scheduled ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, as part of the initiative, “the top three winners will receive cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively, and the woman with the best entry will have the chance to serve as an ACP (women’s safety) for a day,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (women’s safety) Vrinda Shukla said.
“Not just women, anyone in Gautam Buddh Nagar district can recommend practical ideas that can be implemented in the district to enhance women’s safety and empowerment,” she said.
Entries can be emailed to “[email protected]” or sent on Whatsapp number 9870395200 until March 7, officials said.
Those who send suggestions should clearly mention their name, address and phone number in their emails or Whatsapp messages, officials said.
