The acquisition of Sirona follows Good Glamm Group’s INR 100 financing in December last year. Feminine hygiene startup, Sirona, has made a foray into the women’s safety segment with the acquisition of IMPOWER in an all-cash transaction. With IMPOWER, we saw a brand that shared our philosophy and was committed to making an impact on the pitch. On the other hand, Donna FMCG, the parent company of IMPOWER, was founded in 2017 by Akshay Dua and Tanisha Pant. In October last year, parenting social network Healofy also raised $6.5 million in Series B funding from Celestia Capital.

Femtech startup Sirona has announced its foray into the female safety segment. The company has acquired women’s safety brand – IMPOWER from Donna FMCG Pvt. ltd. in an all-cash deal for an undisclosed amount. IMPOWER is known for its best-selling line of pepper sprays online.

This expansion of its product portfolio, around International Women’s Day, with IMPOWER pepper spray reinforces Sirona’s commitment to women’s empowerment and makes it one of the few brands to solve both unaddressed feminine hygiene and women’s safety issues, the startup said in a statement. After its recent fundraising of INR 100 crore from Good Glamm Group, the company is bullish on strategic acquisitions and scale growth to hit the 500 crore revenue mark in the next 3 years.

Sirona offers many products such as PeeBuddy, which is a device for women to pee in dirty toilets, feminine herbal pain relief patches, an anti-irritation cream against rashes in intimate areas, a stain remover for menstruation, sanitary ware and oxo-biodegradable tampons.
