Karimnagar: A women’s safety and security awareness program was held at the SRR Government Arts and Science College on Wednesday.

The Women’s Empowerment Cell, NSS and NCC units of the college in association with the SHE team organized an outreach program to educate students on women’s safety and security.

Participating in the outreach program, Town-II Inspector Laxman Babu appreciated the efforts of the SHE teams and WEC, NSS, NCC wings of the college for taking the initiative to raise awareness among students and staff.

Explaining his experiences, SHE team member Swapna reported on the various complaints the team has been dealing with lately and explained the importance of the “Hawk-Eye” mobile app and how it works in case of an emergency. emergency.

Police Chief Partsharamulu explained the hierarchy of the team working in Telangana State for the cause of women’s safety. ASI Vijayamani instructed participants on how to download the Hawk-Eye app and use it in an emergency.

The principal of the college, Dr. K Ramakrishna commended the SHE team members and the various college committees for organizing such a useful program.

Women Empowerment Committee Coordinator, J Uma Maheshwari, NSS Program Managers, Dr Vara Prasad, Narayana, and DD Naidu and NCC Officer, P Raju and Dr Shoba Rani, Dr Sharada, Nagaraju and other staff participated in the program.
