Women’s development promotes economic growth, stability

The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to the development of women as their contribution is crucial to achieve growth and stability in the State.

Women’s Development Center director ‘Deola Adepoju said this during a business training organized for youth and women in Agege region, state. .

A government statement on Friday revealed that Adepoju reiterated the Lagos State Government‘s commitment to the continued empowerment of women and youth.

She also stressed that this is one of the main priorities of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The training was titled “Business Networking: Using Social Media as a Tool to Achieve Economic Growth and Sustainability”.

Speaking on the training, Adepoju said women and children in Lagos would not be left behind as digitization is currently on the rise.

“We now live in a digitally driven world where businesses are processed digitally. We are now in a world where customers meet customers online without any physical contact and conduct valuable transactions. So this training is very appropriate, especially in the context of the current global dispensation, ”Adepoju said, quoted in the statement.

The director also revealed that the Ministry of Women and Poverty Alleviation recently trained 150 small business owners in the state in digital marketing.

“With the knowledge of digital marketing, there is room for empowerment and generation of wealth. No one can complain about being wronged because it is a free space for everyone, ”Adepoju said.
