Young Bangla to Share Findings on Women’s Safety Issues Today
Young Bangla, a youth platform in Bangladesh, will share the results of a situation analysis on women’s safety in public places during a webinar to be held on Thursday evening.
The Women’s Safety in Public Places (WSPP) website will also be launched today.

Recently, young people from Young Bangla conducted the situation analysis by consulting different stakeholders in 10 districts.
The unveiling of the campaign website will help connect a wider audience through virtual medium.
The organizers will share the real-life scenario of women’s safety such as; standards of practice, people’s perspectives, the role of different stakeholders and especially the role of young people in eliminating bad practices and raising awareness in the wider community.

Ten youth organizations conducted focus group discussions (FGDs), stakeholder analysis and case study analysis in 10 districts.
This analysis allowed them to reflect on the situation of harassment towards women in their respective communities throughout the month of April 2021 in the midst of the pandemic with the following health protocols.
